Model Photoshoot for Meesho, Myntra and Flipkart Listings
To show clothing on a model for Meesho, Myntra or Flipkart, you can hire a model and photographer, use a mannequin or flat lay, or make AI model photos from clear phone pictures of the garment. Catalog Pro does the last one: upload front, back and detail photos and see the garment on a reusable AI model.

Three ways to get model photos
- Hire a model and photographer: you see the real fit, drape and fabric on a person. You also plan the booking, styling, location and editing, and pay per day, product or image. See what a product photoshoot costs to compare quotes.
- Mannequin or flat lay: cheap and quick at home, and it shows the garment honestly. It does not show how the piece sits on a body, and some fashion categories expect on-model images, so check your seller panel.
- AI model from your garment photos: no booking. You upload phone photos and get the garment shown on an AI model. You must check every result against the real piece, because AI can change details.
What photos to take of the garment
The AI model photo can only be as accurate as the photos you give it. Take these in daylight, on a plain wall, bed sheet or floor, with creases smoothed out:
- Front: the whole garment straight on, on a hanger or laid flat, with sleeves, neckline and hem visible.
- Back: needed for back prints, ties, zips, deep necks and blouse designs.
- Detail: close-ups of the print, embroidery, buttons, fabric weave and border. Keep these real in your listing too.
- Set contents: for kurta sets and lehengas, every piece you send, shown together once.
Do not use a photo where the colour looks wrong on your screen. The AI follows the photo, not the garment in your hand.
How it works in Catalog Pro
- Create a model by choosing gender, skin tone and look, or pick one already saved in your library.
- Upload the front, back and detail photos of one garment.
- Choose a pose and background, then generate.
- Compare each result with the real garment and download only the ones that match.
The model stays in your library, so you can put your next kurti, shirt or lehenga on the same face and body type. That keeps a whole catalog looking like one shoot, even when you add designs weeks apart.

Notes for each marketplace
Image rules differ by marketplace and by category. Use these as a starting point, then check your own seller panel before you upload.
- Meesho: the front image matters most. Show the whole garment clearly, then add back and fabric photos.
- Myntra: keep the same set of views, crop and model style for every style in a range.
- Flipkart: its listing guide advises a white background, with lifestyle images where they help.
- Ajio: get the photography brief from your seller or brand contact. Do not assume another site's specification applies.
- Nykaa Fashion: show fit, neckline and fabric clearly, and check the panel for crop and size.
- Amazon: the first image must identify the exact item. Check Seller Central for your category's rules.
Catalog Pro is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or approved by any of these marketplaces. Each one decides what it accepts.
When to book a real model shoot instead
Book a photographer and a real model when the product depends on detail that AI may get wrong:
- Heavy embroidery, mirror work or zari that buyers zoom into.
- Sheer, net or very shiny fabric.
- Bridal drape, or a saree style that must be worn a certain way.
- A tailored fit that your size chart promises.
- Video, or a brand campaign with a specific creative brief.
You can also mix: a real shoot for your best sellers, AI model photos for the rest of the range.
What to check before you upload
AI model photos are generated, not photographed. A result can shift a print, change a colour, add or drop a button, or make the fit look looser or tighter than it is. Hold the real garment next to your screen and check the colour, print placement, neckline, sleeve length and any logo. Keep your real close-ups in the listing so buyers can see the actual fabric.
Questions sellers ask
Do I need to hire a model for Meesho or Myntra photos?
No. You can start with a flat lay or mannequin, or make AI model photos from clear phone photos of the garment. Book a real model when fit, drape or fine detail must be exact.
Can I use the same AI model for my whole catalog?
Yes. Save a model in your Catalog Pro library and select it again for each new garment, so your range looks consistent.
Which photos of the garment should I upload?
A front photo of the whole garment, a back photo, and close-ups of the print, fabric and any special detail. Take them in daylight on a plain background.
Will Myntra, Flipkart or Amazon accept AI model photos?
Each marketplace decides what it accepts. Use AI images only when they show the real product accurately, and follow the image rules in your seller panel.
Is there an iPhone app?
No. On an iPhone, open the web app in your browser at catalogpro.app/login. There is an Android app on the Play Store.
